xAI says each tier of The X Subscription gives more usage per dollar than the plan it replaces, and that its Premium tier includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+. Switching is optional, and you get a prorated refund for your old plan.
When you reach your weekly allowance you can buy Extra Usage Credits, but they are priced at standard rates, so each action costs more than within your plan. xAI says top-ups suit occasional extra use, and a higher plan is better value if you regularly go over your limit. Extra Usage Credits can only be bought on the web for now.
The prices in our table are App Store prices. Apple shows App Store prices with tax included everywhere except the US and Canada, where tax is added at checkout. xAI's own web prices for The X Subscription exclude applicable taxes. Our table labels every price with its tax basis.
What is The X Subscription, and do I have to switch?
It is one subscription for Grok, Cursor and X, with a weekly usage pool shared between Grok and Cursor. Switching is optional: your SuperGrok plan, price and features continue unless you change or cancel them. A switch is permanent. If you bought Grok through the App Store, xAI cancels that subscription when you switch and asks Apple to refund the unused time; Apple decides on the refund.
Yes. Apple's App Store listing for Grok has yearly SuperGrok, SuperGrok Lite and SuperGrok Plus subscriptions next to the monthly ones (US and German storefront catalogs read on 23 October 2026), and our table shows their upfront prices. xAI's help also mentions yearly SuperGrok Heavy subscriptions.
From June 2026, paid plans have one weekly usage pool instead of separate daily limits per product, and you can spend it on Chat, Imagine, Voice, Build or any other Grok product. Products use different amounts depending on the compute they need. When the pool runs out, paid features pause until the weekly reset, while free Chat and Voice limits stay available.
Cancel where you subscribed. For a subscription bought on grok.com, open Settings, then Billing, on the website. For the App Store, Apple handles the subscription and its cancellation; for Google Play, cancel in Google Play.
For subscriptions bought on grok.com or through Google Play, xAI reviews refund requests sent through its refund request form, and approved refunds usually reach the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases.
